Is it hard for your child to:
pay attention and finish work at school?
complete math word problems?
remember information from reading passages?
complete writing assignments?
stay seated in school, at the dinner table, or maybe even on the couch?
Does your child:
forget to bring books, folders, or assignments home?
have difficulty remembering multi-step directions?
yell or argue with you over everyday requests like getting dressed, cleaning up, doing homework, coming to you when called, or sharing and turn-taking with siblings or friends?
have a history of getting in trouble in school?
Do you have to repeat yourself 100 times before your child listens?
Are you exhausted from always fighting with or disciplining your child?
Is your child at-risk for being (or has been) suspended from school due to aggressive behavior?
In addition to any of the above difficulties, does your child also worry or become distressed about many things?
Then Dr. LoPinto can help!
Dr. LoPinto helps children and adolescents (ages 2-18) with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), behavioral difficulties, or general anxiety problems, who are having difficulties at home, at school, and/or with friends. Dr. LoPinto uses Collaborative & Proactive Solutions, Dr. Ross Greene's Model of understanding and helping children with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, and also uses specific skills training and cognitive-behavioral therapy as needed.
Depending on the needs of your child/adolescent, Dr. LoPinto may work with your child individually, together with you and/or teachers, or with you and teachers only. It is Dr. LoPinto's goal to develop positive, adaptive behavior in children and adolescents in all areas of their lives – at home, at school, at work, with family, friends, and teachers – so they may become happy, productive, and successful.
